Christian Siriano's back...

...and in a excellent way.

2012 Spring Fashion Week reminded me just how much I love him. Last mentioned {here}, obviously my adoration for him has not diminished in the least.

Pictures? But of course! I've got you covered.

A power suit in a power color with some power sunglasses and power shoes. How could you possibly go wrong?

A simple dress by most standards. But wait! What's that on those shoulders? A splash of (feathery) drama that Siriano's known for. And plus the shoes and the bag... well we all know I love me some neon.

Puffy, yes. Extravagant, yes. Over-the-top, yes. Would I wear it in a hearbeat if I had the body to work it and a place to wear it, ohmygoodnessgracious yes.

I like this. I like it a lot. Fitted and feathers gives this dress structure but still a playful side, a sense of joy that continues on, leading into the whimsical flowy-ness of the skirt. Oh I'm legit. 

 So... this is freaking beautiful. It's effortless, but yet, this girl got some 'tude. I love it. I want it. Now. If not sooner.

I'm not obssessed.

What a joke, I so am. Literally, spent a whole Saturday studying in-depth, not for the Spanish test I had on Monday [which by now has been moved to next Monday because we don't know Spanish, but I digress...] but researching, watching, and learning about Beyoncé.

Can I Just Say...

...that Fashion Week is an excellent idea? Whoever thought of having a week filled beyond the brim of wonderful, whimsical, usually-not-functional fashion is pure genius.

That being said, recently in our Spanish class, we had to make a presentation on a Latino (or is Hispanic more PC?) celebrity. Now some chose Shakira, another Enrique Iglesias (who, though may be 37-ish, is still lookin' mighty fine), but I, yes I, chose Oscar de la Renta. And honestly, it was the best choice. I got to watch fashion show after fashion show after fashion show... all for homework. Now I would be glad to post the finished product (a movie) for you, but alas, it's in Spanish.

But, going to back to Fashion Week, Oscar de la Renta? Brava brava brava.

But besides the creepy clapping hands with no body, that show was fabulous. And now you may be asking yourself, 'how in the world does she know? Was she at Fashion Week?' But alas, I was not there. Though in fact, I could've there, thanks to a wonderful thing called Youtube. In a nutshell, Youtube had a live feed of Fashion Week, as well as some wonderful wonderful person who posted de la Renta's entire Spring 2012 line.

Not that I'm from the 80's, but I'm in love with neon. Got a pair of brightly colored jeans, and I've just realized my love of loud colors. Maybe I should've recognized it when I got my bright salmon blazer, huh?

A new love

Ever heard of the show "Project Runway"? (Which, btw, is tuh-ho-tally [totally] fabulous, is on Lifetime, and is back for season 9!!!!!!!!!!...if you get how freaking excited I am)


Anyhoo, back story to this post. there was some major duh-rama [drama] with the show as it made its switch from the network it was originally on, Bravo. So after all of this, Bravo was left Project Runway-less. But it's fighting back, with a new... well, new to me show called "The Fashion Project: Ultimate Collection".

The show is on their second season, with judges Isaac Mizrahi and as of the second season of the show, Iman.

Now you know me, on Cody (the name of my laptop... yes, I named my laptop) all day during summer, always watching those TV shows we all hear about but never actually watch (Big Brother anyone?). So recently I stumbled upon this show, and watched the lovely season 2. 

 And I officially have a new gay man crush: Jeffrey Williams (my last gay crush mentioned here). Oh my gosh... I'm in love. His final collection for the show was stunning! His collection was inspired by his mom and dedicated to his mom, who had passed away from breast cancer earlier in his life. And that inspiration served him well, 'cuz that collection was kick....-donkey!
